A lot of times we see people walking on the street with fashion hair style, pretty dress, or professional outfit...etc, all of these makes us wondering what do they do; in other words, we get interested in people merely from the way they look.
What we wear / present every day is probably not we think it is pretty / handsome. It is because we "think" how others will think about us. In short, our personal images are a reflection of who we are , which means it is our Personal Brand.
So, how do you look after your own brands?
Of course, we do not judge people from their look however, you know how important it is to build up a good first impression in people's minds, say an interview, your first date, any kind of events...
When I was at University, I was a member of a team called PA, Protocol Ambassador; it is a group that in charges of all important events in the university in Chia Yi, Taiwan. We represented as the first impression for our place; when guests came, we were at the front line to meet them. Therefore, we did a lot training about how to dress up and being professional that could represent as a host of our place; also, we were trained to be a tour guide for our guests in our campus. As well as hosting a ceremony, how to put proper makeup, how to walk, and how to smile!
Every tiny little thing needs practice, even the professional postures and smile. That is how we build up our personal brands, even years after I left the team, I still use those skills everyday, including how to dress properly, walk, guide, and present friendly and professional services.
How about you? Do you take care of your personal brands? Feel free to share your ideas with us! :-)
